Statement
As an art academic, I strive to explore and reveal what our visual culture says about
us, and how we can learn and grow as a society. I intend to uplift art through critical
discourse and bring to the forefront those who are underrepresented in the arts. I
believe that it is through the study of visual representation that we can understand
the systems that govern our society and culture, and it is through the conclusions
of those studies that we may present solutions or counternarratives.

What my time at KCAD meant to me
Having completed my bachelor’s degree at KCAD and now master's, it almost feels like
I have grown up at KCAD. I don't think I can list everything that I have learned,
but I can say that I am where I am today because of KCAD and the opportunities that
I have found here. I am already in the process of carrying that experience forward
and I am so excited to see where it takes me.
