The Thomas G. and Marita A. Halko Endowed Scholarship

The Thomas G. and Marita A. Halko Endowed Scholarship was established by Thomas and Marita Halko in 2022. Thomas and Marita’s son, Stephen Halko, is the Dean of Academic Affairs at Kendall College of Art and Design (KCAD) and a professional artist whose works have appeared in solo, group, and invitational exhibition formats nationally and internationally. The Halkos are incredibly supportive of their son’s work in the art and design world. They created the Thomas G. and Marita A. Halko Endowed Scholarship to commemorate their support and to provide financial assistance to undergraduate Kendall College of Art and Design (KCAD) students with a preference for students with financial need.

Eligibility:

  • Undergraduate senior level student majoring in any KCAD program
  • Eligible students must be enrolled full-time during the periods of enrollment in which they will be receiving the scholarship. Students in their final semester of study may be eligible to receive the award with an enrollment status of half-time or greater.
  • Minimum 2.75 GPA at the time of application
  • Preference shall be given to applicants who demonstrate financial need via the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form

This scholarship is not renewable, but recipients are welcome to reapply annually if they continue to meet the required criteria.

To apply you must be accepted into a KCAD degree-granting program.
