Nicole DeKraker
Director of Student Engagement

Nicole DeKraker joined KCAD in March 2004 and has held a variety of positions during her tenure including, Admissions Counselor, Coordinator of Student Support Services, Coordinator of Student Activities, and Director of Student Activities (retitled Director of Student Engagement.) 

Nicole earned a BA in Photography (minor in Art History) from Indiana University - Bloomington and an MBA with an advanced certificate in Design and Innovation Management from Ferris State University.

Nicole thrives in the collaborative, diverse, inclusive community at KCAD. Her role oversees KCAD's orientation programming, study abroad, registered student organizations, and a variety of student support services. Nicole is driven to design a co-curricular student experience that meets the aspirations of the KCAD students. She is a member of several KCAD committees that allow her to advocate for student needs and hear the voices of the KCAD community. 

Nicole received the 2017 Distinguished Service Award from the Michigan Art Education Association and the 2022 Distinguished Staff Award from Ferris State University.
