April 14, 2020 - Meeting Recap from SPARC Chair Jennifer Dirmeyer:

Thank you all for participating in our April 2020 SPARC Conference: Strategic Priorities in Uncertain Times. We had a fantastic turnout, 68 participants, and you all really delivered on the fresh ideas!

SPARC was challenged to think creatively about ways to increase enrollment in Fall 2020 and Spring 2021. The group of 68 people from across the university came up with ideas on Recruiting and Re-Recruiting Students, Innovative Program Opportunities and Delivery Methods that respond to the new environment and focus on student and employer needs, Online Student Success and Engagement that builds a feeling of connection even as we are physically distant, Marketing and Communication Efforts that highlight the caring environment and unique opportunities present at Ferris, and, Operational Innovations that increase security and provide more flexibility to students and parents.

But our work does not stop there! We can use the SPARC Enrollment Workgroup space in MS Teams to keep the momentum and keep each other inspired! You can also find the complete Brainstorm Ideas Sheet, SPARC Strategic Priorities Survey, and Kristen Salomonson’s Enrollment Presentation there.

Let me know if you are interested in contributing to any of the ideas we developed in the session and I will help connect you to the right people.

As usual, you all continually inspire me to work harder, think more, and try new things. Thank you for your energy and efforts!
