During the Fall 2017 semester, the News Services and Social Media Team conducted social media surveys in conjunction with Founders' Day activities on Thursday, Aug. 31.
Students completed more than 500 student surveys (some students completed each of the two surveys) that were available to record feedback.
The focus of the survey questions included: Primary Ferris social media platforms students are connected to, the type of social media content preferred by students, are they subscribed to the University's primary YouTube account, awareness of contests for prizes, devices used to access social media, ways students connect to each other, time spent accessing social media, other social media habits and more.
Below are survey results as illustrated in graphics:
What are the primary social media platforms you are connected to?
What social media content do you like best?
Are you subscribed to Ferris' primary YouTube channel?
Do you connect with @FerrisStudents on Twitter?
Are you aware of weekly contests run through the @FerrisStudents Twitter account?
Would themed social media days excite you?
What are the primary devices you most often use to access social media?
