Biography

Daniel Taylor, OD, EdD, MS, MBA, FAAO, DipOE, received his Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, in 2006, and then completed a Primary Care Optometry Fellowship from that institution in 2008, while earning his Masters of Science in Cancer and Cell Development Biology from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center that same year. In 2016, he completed his Doctorate of Education in Instructional Design and Technology, from the University of Memphis. In 2022, he completed his Masters of Business Administration from Ferris State University, with a simultaneous Graduate Certificate in Finance from Ohio University. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry with a diplomate in Optometric Education.
Dr. Taylor has been the Associate Dean of Academic and Student Affairs at Michigan College of Optometry since September of 2017, and the Interim Dean since July of 2021. He resides in Big Rapids with his wife and two children.
