Ferris State University’s online programs placed well among its national peers in rankings recently released by U.S. News & World Report. Ferris was included in a list of more than 1,200 programs that were surveyed by the publication.
Ferris’ top ranking was tied for 41st in “Best Online Master’s in Business Programs,” excluding the Master of Business Administration. Other Ferris graduate program rankings include a tie for 66th in “Best Online Master’s in Nursing Programs” and a tie for 80th in “Best Online MBA Programs.”
Among undergraduate schools, Ferris tied for 68th in “Best Online Bachelor’s Programs for Veterans” and tied for 113th in “Best Online Bachelor’s Programs.”
The U.S. News & World Report rankings are based on responses to the peer assessment surveys. U.S. News noted that it updated its methodology to credit schools that provide online help with course registration, admissions counseling and building a résumé. The publication did not include blended programs that combine brick-and-mortar classrooms with online education.
U.S. News noted that “only regionally-accredited institutions whose programs are offered mostly or entirely online were evaluated.”
