Student Alumni Gold Club's Cover the Seal Event Benefits DeVos Children's Hospital

Cover the SealFerris State University students, faculty and staff are encouraged to donate some of their loose change to help “Cover the Seal” and raise money for the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.

Student Alumni Gold Club members will be collecting loose change on Wednesday, Sept. 19 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Quad. SAGC members use the change to cover the Ferris State University seal. SAGC is a student leadership organization that serves as an official chapter of Ferris’ Alumni Association. The organization has nearly 50 current members and 300 alumni. Cover the Seal started in 2005 and is still going in its 13th year.

“The goal of this event is to raise funds on behalf of Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital through the generosity of our students, staff, faculty and community members,” said Kevin Bunce, Coordinator for Alumni Relations. “The university seal is found at the heart of the North Quad with a visual display of what can be accomplished with the smallest contributions.”

For a minimum donation of $3, contributors can pick from a prize table consisting of socks and other Ferris-branded items.
