in Big Rapids. A total of 11 residential and day camp sessions will be offered in
Big Rapids, and at Ferris-Grand Rapids, which is located in the Grand Rapids Community
College campus.
A variety of popular offerings will be available for 12-to 18-year-old students who
hope to explore their academic interests in day camps, or supervised and guided residential
camps, offered throughout the summer on Ferris State University’s main campus, in
Big Rapids, and the Ferris-Grand Rapids campus.
Senior Coordinator of Camps and Conferences Gary Wendlowsky said a Cyber Security
Academy is among the first residential camps available, 
beginning Sunday, June 24 in Big Rapids, and a Design and Manufacturing camp, beginning
Sunday, July 15.
“Participants get to live and breathe all that Ferris offers in these programs, with a chance to better understand the curriculum, instructors and the facilities we offer,” Wendlowsky said. “We get good feedback from these students, many of whom then enter the undergraduate program they intend to pursue as a career.”
Wendlowsky also said the day camps on the Ferris-Grand Rapids campus are popular. These camps include the Digital Media: Beginning Game Design-Minecraft for Middle School, which starts Monday, June 11.
“Our staff are usually able to accommodate applicants for our Grand Rapids programs, which offer a good chance to become acclimated with our programs on that campus,” Wendlowsky said. “Coming to camps in Big Rapids allows students to enjoy meals at The Rock Café and to get familiar with the residence halls, along with Ferris’ main campus.”

that are available for our participants.”
