The academic year is quickly winding down as Ferris State University students look
ahead to exam week. Offering students a little study break, after the first day of
exams, the Student Government Association is hosting Pancakes with the President on
Monday, April 30, the first day of exam week for the Spring 2018 semester, from 10
p.m. to midnight in The Rock Café.
Pancakes with the President is hosted at the beginning of exam week during Ferris’ fall and spring semesters. Students have pancakes served by President David Eisler, other administrators and faculty members.
Patrick Maloney, president of Student Government, is excited about what Pancakes with the President does to help informally open lines of communication.
“Pancakes with the President is a special event due to the closeness it brings between the students and the administration,” Maloney said. “It’s the final lap of the race, with finals week having begun, and it gives students a moment to take a breath and reflect on the 15 weeks behind them.”
Pancakes with the President is co-sponsored by Student Government, Dining Services, the Ferris Bookstore, President’s Office and Pride Committee.
