They all have a story. Here, we tell part of that story. Meet: Zjade Carter.

Zjade Carter

She is: A first-year student from Kalamazoo, Mich., who is majoring in Pre-Veterinary Medicine.

What do you like most about Ferris? Carter really likes her on-campus residence hall, Bond, and added that her resident assistant is "very cool."

What do you enjoy about your academic major? She really likes her major because she loves to help people and animals.

How is Ferris preparing you for your future? Ferris is helping Carter by allowing her to be independent and learn what it’s like to live on her own.

Why should Ferris be a top choice for others? Ferris should be a top choice because everyone on campus is so friendly and there are a lot of resources for students if they would like to take advantage of them.

What is the best part about being at Ferris? The best part about Ferris is all of the opportunities that a person could be presented.

Why was Ferris your number one choice? Carter was really won over by Ferris’ environment. Everyone she has met has been extremely nice and helpful, she added.
