Karafa Appointed Interim Dean of College of Arts, Sciences and Education

Andy KarafaJoseph “Andy” Karafa has been named the interim dean of Ferris State University’s College of Arts, Sciences and Education. The announcement was made by Paul Blake, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs. The appointment is effective Monday, June 1.

Karafa currently serves as the college’s associate dean. He has been the academic department head for the Social Sciences, an associate professor of Psychology, chair of the Academic Leadership Council and director of Ferris’ Jim Crow Museum of Racist Memorabilia.

“Andy will bring continuity of leadership to the College of Arts, Sciences and Education,” Blake said. “His willingness to serve in this important administrative role will provide a continuation of the excellent programs and initiatives the college is advancing.”
