Jessie Smith

He is: A Ferris State University Criminal Justice alumnus from Marysville, Mich.

How did you find out about Ferris? While deciding where to attend college, Jessie talked to friends of his who were already Ferris students. They spoke very highly of Ferris and helped him make his decision.

What made Ferris your top choice in the end? Jessie said that the high quality of the Criminal Justice program was ultimately the factor that helped him decide that attending Ferris was the best choice for him.

How do you stay affiliated with Ferris? Jessie stays affiliated with Ferris because he is already planning on attending alumni functions. He also keeps in touch with his friends at Ferris.

What do you love about Ferris? “I love the fact that, despite being a university, it still has a hometown feel.”

Why should Ferris be a top choice for others? “Ferris should be a top choice for people because of the growing quality of programs offered, as well as the growth of the university as a whole. Ferris is one of the fastest-growing universities in Michigan.”

What is your favorite Ferris memory? Jessie remembers his favorite memory at Ferris as his graduation day.

“My favorite memory was walking into my graduation ceremony with all of my friends and realizing that everything I had gone through during my time at Ferris was finally going to pay off.”
