Greek Week Celebration Events Kick Off on Monday, April 6

Greek WeekFerris State University’s Greek Week celebration begins Monday, April 6 and runs through Thursday, April 9.

Greek Week events promote Greek unity and philanthropy and support a local charity. This spring, Greek Week participants will collect canned goods for Project Starburst, a non-profit food bank that provides food and other necessities to Mecosta and Osceola county residents in need of assistance.

A few of the most anticipated Greek Week events include:

  • Chili Cook-Off: Monday, April 6 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the West Campus Community Center. At this event, students are welcome to taste a variety of chilies
  • Lip-Sync Competition: Tuesday, April 7 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Williams Auditorium. Similar to Homecoming week, Greek students will choreograph dances and will be judged by a panel of Ferris faculty and staff.

“I look forward to Greek Week because even though the events are the same each year, the experience is always different,” said Kaitlyn Patrick, a junior in Public Relations and a member of Zeta Tau Alpha. “It’s a time that really highlights all that Greek life values: relationships, good sportsmanship, collaboration, dedication and community.”
