The Ferris State University Disc Golf Team placed first at the 2015 National Collegiate
Disc Golf Championship on Sunday, April 19 in North Augusta, S.C.
Nate DeFrain, an Investment Finance alumnus from Grand Blanc, Mich. and a member of the Ferris Disc Golf Team, could not have had a better experience with this storybook ending to a great chapter in his life.
“My experience at this year’s National Championship was absolutely incredible. Coming away with a national title on my third and final year of being on the Ferris State Disc golf team meant the world to me,” said DeFrain, a December 2014 graduate, of a championship won at the Hippodrome Disc Golf Complex. “It was a perfect way to end my story.”
Hosted in North Augusta, S.C., by the Professional Disc Golf Association, the National Disc Golf Championship is a competition for collegiate-level disc golf teams.
The PDGA, founded in 1976, is an organization dedicated to spreading awareness for the sport of disk golf.
