“Beer, Booze and Books” will be presented by Jim Matthews at 11 a.m. and again at
7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11 in the Williams Auditorium. This presentation is designed
to equip students with the facts about how drinking can affect academic and social
choices.
“While teaching courses dealing with alcohol and drugs, it became apparent to me that my students lacked fundamental information about alcohol consumption,” Matthews said. “This program can assist students in making healthy, low risk choices about alcohol. The information will help students avoid the problems associated with dangerous drinking and have a healthy and successful college career.”
Matthews has given this presentation at over 400 schools and to more than 400,000 students.
Students attending this event for an FSUS course will have proof of attendance by getting their tickets stamped at the end of the presentation.
