Ferris State University’s Students with Children Program is hosting the Parent Academy
on Friday, Nov. 7.
The academy invites Ferris students, who are parents, to join in café-style discussions with local experts on topics such as: family budgeting, family planning, financial aid, and internet safety. This event is an opportunity for parents to network with other Ferris student parents.
The schedule of events is as followed:
- 11 to 11:15 a.m. – Welcome and introductions
- 11:15 to Noon – Roundtable Discussion
- Noon to 12:30 p.m. – Keynote presenter
- 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. – Lunch
The event is free and the public is welcome. The academy will be hosted in Ferris’ West Campus Community Center, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The event is sponsored by Ferris Students with Children, Meceola Children’s Council, Mecosta-Osceola Great Start Collaborative and Ferris’ Tot’s Place Child Development Center.
