Ferris State University’s Alumni Association will host alumni and friends at the Detroit
Zoo on Saturday, June 28 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Alumni Association staff expect 300 to 500 guests, including alumni, family and friends to gather together for the event. The gates open at 9 a.m. and close at 5 p.m. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Admission is $25 for adults and $15 for children ages 2 to 14. Guests will receive park admission, lunch and an opportunity to create arts and crafts in the Alumni Association’s private tented areas.
“More than 30,000 Ferris alumni live in the Detroit area,” said Jeremy Mishler, director
of Alumni Relations. “This makes Detroit our largest region in Michigan in which alumni
reside.”
Mishler noted that the Alumni Association plans a number of events designed to engage
alumni through a diverse range of activities in various locations.
“The Alumni Association reaches out to locations where Ferris alumni reside to engage and update them on what is happening with the university,” Mishler said. “Our goal also is strengthening connections to foster a greater involvement at Ferris in Big Rapids and statewide.”
The Detroit Zoo is located at 8450 10 Mile Road in Royal Oak, Mich.
