The Ferris State University American Marketing Association is offering a Career Opportunities and Networking Summit on Thursday, Jan. 30 and Friday, Jan. 31.
The summit will be hosted in College of Business, Room 111, and will include a reception on Thursday, Jan. 30 that will feature a presentation from companies interested in hiring Ferris students. The presentations begin at 6 p.m.
The companies that will be represented at this summit include: Bankers Life, Atlas Coast, Michigan Office Solutions, Federated Insurance, All-Phase Electric and Mass Mutual Financial Group.
The presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer session and opportunities for networking with the professionals as light refreshments will be available.
“This summit is a great opportunity for people looking for internships, or even full-time positions,” said Anders Johnson, vice president of professional development of AMA. “It is also a great opportunity for students just looking to network with professionals and get their name out there.”
On Friday, Jan. 31, employers will conduct interviews throughout the day to fill full-time positions and internships. In order to set up an interview, an individual must attend the Thursday night reception.
