As Dean of the Ferris Library for Information, Technology and Education (FLITE), Scott Garrison is responsible for providing vision, leadership, and advocacy to ensure that FLITE's collections, personnel and services, spaces and technology help everyone in the Ferris State University community succeed, in a responsive and sustainable manner.
Focused on keeping FLITE oriented toward current user expectations, best practices and continuous improvement, Scott is also involved at Ferris, statewide, and nationally in working to advance library and information practice. He serves as a member of the Council of Library Directors (COLD) for Michigan's fifteen state-supported universities' libraries. Scott also serves on the Midwest Collaborative for Library Services Board of Directors, and served previously as a Kent District Library trustee and board member for the Michigan Academic Library Association.
Employed at Ferris since 2012
