Several Microsoft products are now available for employees to purchase for personal use via the Microsoft Home Use Program. The Microsoft Home Use Program will be the only method to purchase software for home use through the University. Student Technology Services (STS) will no longer offer software for purchase through their office.
The Microsoft Home Use Program features software at the low price of $9.95 per title. Software available includes Visio, Office Professional Plus 2013 for Windows, Office 2011 for Mac, and Project Professional 2013. Each title will only be available for purchased once per person and will be valid for two installations on the devices of your choice. NOTE: You will only be able to purchase one version (Windows or Mac) of each title.
The license for any Microsoft products purchased through the Home Use Program is valid for current employees. Therefore, if you purchase the software as an employee and are then removed from a current employee status, you will no longer have access to the software.
Reminder: You still can use the online Office Suite products supplied via the Office 365 web version at http://office.ferris.edu – but it will not have all of features the version you have on your computer at work.
