Biography

I received my Ed. D. in Special Education with an emphasis on Early Childhood from the University of Northern Colorado. I have been at Ferris State University for 18 years. I have been a faculty member and am currently the Director for the School of Education. I have taught courses in early childhood education, special education, and elementary education. I have worked in the field of special education for over 30 years and have worked with people with disabilities from birth to death. My interests are in preparing our future teachers, especially those pursuing special education but would love to work with faculty at the college/university level on how to work with students with disabilities at that level. I am active in 4H and am the leader of a horse club in Mecosta County.
