Summer: 2020

The Writing Center will not open for face-to-face writing consultation. However, the Writing Center will be open for online, real-time synchronous writing consultation. We will open our virtual writing consultation practices on Thursday, May 21st. We will close these services on Wednesday, August 12th.

Our online, real-time synchronous writing consultation hours are:

Monday – Thursday: 10:00AM – 3:00PM

Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00PM – 8:00PM.

To book an online appointment, visit FSU’s mywconline and login and/or create an account. For further instructions on how to create an online appointment and to engage in remote, real-time synchronous writing consultation, please visit the following: How to make an appointment and our guide for how to engage in online writing consultation.

On-Site: We are located in FLITE 120

The Writing Center's online consultation services will be closed:

Monday, May 25th for Memorial Day
Friday, July 3rd for Independence Day.

Due to the recent COVID-19 University closures, the Writing Center will offer online writing consultation to all majors, all students.

During normal face-to-face operations, the following applies:

We offer online real time synchronous writing consultation during our regular onsite hours. We offer these online services only to students enrolled in statewide programs or in strictly online programs.

If you are enrolled in one of these programs (that is strictly off-site or all online) and need writing consultation, please book an appointment with a writing consultant that is designated with online-consultation preferences. Once this appointment is scheduled, you will be asked to login to FSU’s mywconline during the designated time and date of your online synchronous writing consultation appointment. From there, you will be prompted to upload your document and one of our writing consultants will guide you through the process and assist you regarding your writing concerns.
