Arrange a campus visit at your earliest convenience. The best way to get a feel for Ferris is to be here. Campus visits can be arranged around your schedule on Monday's through Friday's, and some Saturday's. Arrangements can be done on-line or by calling the Admissions Office at 1-800-4-FERRIS.
Register for and take the ACT test during your junior or senior year of high school. Please remember to have your
results directed to Ferris State University from the ACT national office in Iowa City.
(Ferris' ACT code is #1994).
Apply after your junior year in high school. You can fill out the on-line application now, or contact Ferris and have a copy sent
to you. Either choice you make, please remember to have transcripts sent from your
high school and/or other college(s) as appropriate.
Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) after Jan. 1. The financial aid office must have access to a completed Free Application for Federal
Student Aid (FAFSA). You must complete a FAFSA and indicate that you are considering
attendance at Ferris.
Respond to the orientation mailings after your admission. The Orientation Office coordinates
all of the activities that a new student must participate in to be ready for the first
day of classes. The first step is completion of the New Student Advising and Registration
Process. ALL students are urged to complete this process in the Summer. The second
step for Orientation is attendance and participation. Orientation is MANDATORY for
new students.
Respond to the housing office contract request after April 1. The housing contract
will reserve a spot for your son or daughter in our on-campus residence halls. There
are a number of requirements that need to be met before a student can move off-campus.
You can see these in the Residential Life pages.
