Biography

Education has always been important to me. Even as a young child, I knew I wanted to be a teacher, helping others discover what they are capable of and achieving their educational goals. As a life-long learner, I have surrounded myself with opportunities to grow and discover. Throughout these professional development opportunities, I have gained knowledge and insight into higher education, specifically in the areas of assessment, graduate education, and online learning. I also have first-hand experience in graduate education and online learning, both as an administrator and a student. Additionally, I have learned that education takes a village. I enjoy collaborating with others, using our strengths collectively to ultimately help our students succeed.

Previously, I had the opportunity to teach math in an accelerated high school program. Throughout their first two years of high school, the students completed all of their math graduation requirements, from algebra to pre-calculus. Our program was an early adopter of online learning through various formats such as classroom websites and Moodle.
