Reverse transfer is a process for awarding an associate degree to students who transfer from a community
college to Ferris State University without having earned a degree. Through a combination
of credits earned from the community college and Ferris, students may be eligible
to earn a degree without taking any additional classes and no additional cost.

Eligibility Criteria
If you did not earn your associate degree before transferring to Ferris and have earned
a combined 60+ credits, you may be eligible to earn your degree from your transfer
institution without taking any additional coursework and at no charge.
earned a minimum of 15 credits at a community college
earned at least 15 credits at Ferris
in good standing with no holds on your account
earned a C or better in all transferrable courses
Ferris State University partners with all public Michigan Community Colleges on Reverse
Transfer and is updating our current system utilizing the National Student Clearinghouse.
