FerrisNow 2018-19 Quick Facts as of July 31, 2019

  • Ferris State University established the Office of Transfer and Secondary School Partnerships in 2012 to:

    • Promote access to higher education and degree attainment by facilitating successful transfer of college and articulated credits.
    • Serve as the central source for all information and communication related to college transfers including earned college credit and articulated credits.
    • Serve as the hub for collaborations between high schools, career and technical education centers, early/middle college high schools, postsecondary institutions and Ferris State University.
    • Facilitate relationships and partnerships between K-12 and postsecondary partners and the faculty and staff at Ferris.

    Since Fall 2012, 5,164 high school students have enrolled in Ferris classes, with students earning 30,018 college credits through the FerrisNow Program.

  • Twenty-eight secondary schools including 3 career centers, 4 early colleges, 20 high schools, plus one community agency are collaborating with Ferris to provide college credit opportunities for high school students during the 2018-19 academic year. The Ferris State Center for Latinx Studies and Ferris State Charter School have locations under these partnerships. 

     

     

  • Total unduplicated student enrollment for the fall, spring, and summer terms is 1,600 students.

    In collaboration with 18 academic departments on campus, the FerrisNow program is sponsored 89 course sections this fall. This number included 54 sections of concurrent enrollment classes, 10 sections of Career and Education Planning, 9 sections for dual enrollment cohorts, 6 sections of college student methods, and 10 sections for Woodbridge Promise College Prep Program.

    Spring 2019

    The FerrisNow program sponsored 94 course sections during the term. This included 54 sections of concurrent enrollment, 7 sections of CARE, 8 sections of Woodbridge Promise courses, 7 sections of dual enrollment, and 17 sections of college study methods.

    Summer 2019

    The FerrisNow program sponsored 11 course sections during the term. Seven sections were a part of the Woodbridge Promise Summer Success Program, three sections were Career and Education Planning, and one section was for college study methods.
