What support system or mentors did you have in college?
During my undergrad I had a great relationship with my RA and Hall Director and ultimately went on to work for University Housing. In Graduate School I had outstanding supervisors who mentored me in my graduate assistantship and ultimately inspired me to work in Higher Education as my career.

What is something that you know now, that you wish you knew when you were in college?
Get to know your academic advisor and work with them to develop your path to commencement. The do it yourself approach to academic advising can lead to unexpected problems along the way that your advisor could have helped you predict.

What advice do you have for a first-generation college student pursuing a degree at Ferris?
The University is full of staff and faculty who want to see you succeed. Don't hesitate to ask questions or share when you are struggling, we want to help.
