My name is Melinda Roesly and I worked at the Academic Support Center between 2000
and 2002. I worked at the front desk and was a multi-subject tutor. After earning
a Paralegal associate degree and a bachelor's in Psychology from Ferris State University,
I moved with my family, husband David and son Anthony, to Virginia Beach, Virginia.
I earned a Juris Doctor from Regent University School of Law in the evenings while
working at a family and criminal law office during the day. During my third year of
law school we had our daughter Bailey. I am a licensed Michigan attorney but we decided
to move back to Virginia Beach. Currently, I am working at an employment and school
law office as a paralegal while David finishes his bachelor's in Game Design and Simulation.
After David graduates, I will be taking the Virginia bar exam in February 2012. Wish
me luck!
Over the years I have also ran the Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon, participated in the
Special Olympics polar plunge (brrr), and coordinated Regent University's Blessing
Day (a free exchange of miscellaneous household items, clothes, and food between college
students).
