Student Recreation Center Updates

Spring Semester

The Student Recreation Center will be open to all of the Ferris community and the general public beginning during the spring semester. Memberships and day passes will be available for those looking to use the facility. For more information on memberships, please follow the link: memberships. The health and safety of our Ferris State community and the general public remains our top priority. Because of this, we still have restrictions in place. Please read below for more information.

Building Hours

Day Hours
Monday - Thursday 6:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.
Friday 6:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday 12:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Facility Spaces

During the fall semester, all facility spaces will be open for students, staff, faculty, and community .

Workout Guidelines

Patrons using the facility will no longer have to make a reservation in order to workout. Upon arrival, you will be asked to check in with the front desk staff. Masks must be worn at all times while in the facility.

Basketball Courts

Basketball courts will be open from 6:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. weekly and from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the weekends.

Student Expectations

  • If you're feeling sick, please stay home and do not come in for your workout.
  • All students must wear a mask within the facility.
  • Maintain a 6 foot distance at all times. Equipment has been spaced out with a minimum of 6 feet distance.
  • Bring your own water bottle. Only refillable water bottle stations will be open.
  • We encourage you to bring your own stretching mats to use in the facility.
  • Please clean machines and equipment before and after use. This means all equipment touched during your workout. Spray bottles and towels have been placed throughout the facility.
  • Clean your hands. Sanitation stations have been placed throughout each workout area.
  • Failure to follow State and University guidelines will have you removed from the facility.

To our Members

We are now open to all members with a membership and will also be open to the general public during the summer months. Memberships and day passes will be available for purchase. If you have any questions regarding memberships, please email Val Wells at [email protected]
