*Faculty/Staff permits will renew during the 2021/2022 summer; however, new faculty/staff
or those needing replacement will need to order online or contact DPS at (231) 591-5907
or 5909.
The permit will be mailed directly to your address. BEFORE ordering your permit verify that your address is correct. If there are any issues
please call our office at (231) 591-5907 or 5909.

Students, faculty, staff and guests must have a valid registration and driver's license to obtain a permit.

Our Police Division is open 24/7/365, including the non-emergency phone line answered
by our dispatch center.
The Parking Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am until 4:30pm. However,
students, staff/faculty, or guests who need a permit outside of business hours may
obtain a overnight/guest permit from the dispatch center at any time.

You must bring in your old permit and current driver's license and vehicle registration
you will be driving for a permit exchange. If you are unable to get your parking permit
due to car crash, windshield repair, selling to a dealership, etc., we need proof
of this. Proof may include an accident report, receipt for repair, or even something
from the dealership that can be faxed, mailed, or emailed to us.

Parking on campus is by permit only. You may only park in the lot(s) for which your permit is valid for. We do not allow overnight parking in commuter or faculty/staff lots.
Residential and Apartment permits are valid only for the permit number they are assigned
too.
Commuter permits may park in any commuter parking lot.
Faculty/staff permits may park in any faculty/staff, commuter, or residential lot

If you received a citation that states you owe $0.00 and it is labeled as a Warning Violation; you do not owe a fee. The citation was issue as a warning to help educate you on
following the Parking Rules and Regulations.

Students and Faculty/Staff who bring an unregistered vehicle to campus will need to
stop by our office to register the vehicle.
Students will need to purchase a temporary permit from the parking office.
Faculty/Staff may obtain a temporary permit from the dispatch center.

It depends on your campus residence. Residential Hall and East Campus Suites students
may not purchase more than one parking permit. Commuter and West Campus Apartment
students may obtain more than one permit.

To appeal a ticket, you must contact the parking office by the fifth business day
of the issuance of the citation and post a "bond" in the amount of the ticket.

If you have received this email, this means you have accumulated multiple citations
on your account. Please contact the parking office to resolve the issue at (231) 591-5909.

No. However, students, faculty/staff, or guests with a valid parking permit may park
in any residential or commuter parking lot from 5:00pm until 2:00am. Meters are also
free after 5:00pm, with the exception of the Lot 39 (Rock Cafe) meters, which are
enforced until 8:00pm.

Patient Parking is reserved for specific patients or patrons of the University who
have a scheduled appointment.
Students will need to park in their designated parking lots, unless authorized by
our office or the clinical office they are visiting with a properly displayed authorized
permit.

No. Disabled vehicles are not allowed on campus for an extended period of time without
authorization from our office.

No. However, students who are considered part-time in the fall semester, but will
be full-time in the spring and summer semester should consider purchasing a full-time
permit for the full year to save costs.

No. Students may not choose to have a citation placed on their student account. However,
unpaid citations are transferred over to your student account after seven or eight
days.
We accept Cash, Check, and most major Credit/Debit Cards (we do not accept American
Express).
