We are fortunate to hire and work with student employees each year to assist in the various functions and services we provide to the campus community.
Each academic year, one student employee is selected to receive the Student Employee of the Year award for their outstanding service to the community. Students are nominated by patrol officers and support staff who feel the student has embodied Ferris State University's Core Values and the department's mission and vision statement.
Congratulations to Bailey Sargent on being selected as our 2018 - 2019 Student Employee of the Year.
Bailey has worked for our agency since August 2016 and served as a student dispatcher, service officer, foot patrol officer, and this year as a student cadet. Bailey has been instrumental in revamping the student cadet role and has revamped the service officer training program.
Bailey graduated in the fall with his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice (Ferris State University School of Criminal Justice) and is currently enrolled in the Master's of Criminal Justice Administration program.
Thank you for your outstanding service and best of luck in your future endeavors! You will be missed.
