October 26, 2018
Effective October 29, 2018, the Ferris State University Department of Public Safety will no longer be placing vehicle immobilizers on vehicles that have accumulated six or more unpaid parking tickets on campus.
Vehicles discovered on campus that have six or more unpaid parking tickets will be towed, at the owner’s expense. Prior to a vehicle being released by the towing company, the person responsible for the vehicle will have to pay all outstanding tickets. DPS will then notify the towing company that all tickets have been paid, and once the towing company is paid for towing and impoundment, the vehicle will be released.
Students parking on campus are reminded thatan accumulation of six or more unpaid tickets WILL NOT be taken care of on their student account. They must pay the tickets separately. All parking tickets can be paid in person at the DPS parking office, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm. They can also be paid online by going to the DPS website, then to Parking Services.
