Notes

The University began reporting positive cases associated with its campuses the week of August 24, with its first reported result posted only three days later on Thursday, August 27. The data found on this page encompasses all positive cases associated with the University and KCAD, not just those who work, study, and/or live in Big Rapids or Grand Rapids.

Between August 24 and September 13, 2020, case data was posted weekly. Beginning Monday, September 14, the University moved to daily reporting. New cases confirmed on Saturday and Sunday are added to Monday's total.

Beginning Monday, September 21, the University began reporting information about active cases on a daily basis. "Current Active Cases" is the count of positive cases reported to the University over the past ten days. This is an estimate of those currently in isolation, assuming a ten day symptomatic period following the report of a positive test result. Actual periods of isolation are specific to the individual and determined by the county health department.
