Message to Students

April 1, 2021

Good afternoon, Bulldogs.

As we are now in April, the stretch run of the 2020-21 academic year and Spring 2021 semester, your resolve and commitment to success has been amazing. We want you to know that the University has received 2,490 first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to be administered to our campus community members. With the vaccines, we plan to host a vaccine clinic from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, beginning April 5.

As these doses are available, we strongly urge all eligible students, including those who are not currently in isolation and have not received a shot previously, to sign up for a COVID-19 vaccination appointment. The Healthy Dog sign-up link is live. To register for a vaccination, please click the following link: Please continue to monitor your email inbox for the next message to complete your vaccination registration.

We’re grateful for the great work that has been done and will be done by the University, specifically the College of Health Professions, College of Pharmacy and Birkam Health Center, in close collaboration with District Health Department 10.

We plan to vaccinate 14 people every 10 minutes, 84 people per hour and 588 people per day using seven stations inside Jim Wink Arena of the Ewigleben Sports Complex. After signing up for your vaccination, you will arrive at your scheduled time and park in Lot 20, behind the sports complex.

Also, Bulldogs, we are looking for volunteers to assist with the Vaccination Clinics April 5-8, 2021. Please click this link to volunteer: Volunteer for Vaccine Clinic Sign-up

As always, all the important information regarding the University’s re-engagement efforts is available on the Coronavirus Updates Hub, and specific updates for students can be found under the “Info for Students” tab. Please continue to check this site frequently for updates.

Finally, if you have a question, or are having difficulty locating information, please send an e-mail to [email protected].
