Message to Students from Joy Pulsifer, Dean of Student Life
Earlier today, President Eisler shared an important update with the University community about the impact of recent recommendations by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services on the start of our Spring 2021 semester.
Please take note that spring semester will begin as scheduled on Monday, Jan. 11, with classes being delivered remotely until Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021. Clinical placements will continue as planned. Additional information will be provided to students in clinical placements from the Dean’s Offices in the Colleges of Health Professions, Optometry and Pharmacy.
For students residing in University housing, move-in will take place Friday, Jan 15 through Sunday, Jan 17, 2021. In order to provide the safest move-in process possible, students will be asked to move into their residence halls by last name. Please go to MyHousing to sign-up for a move-in time based on your last name and the hall that you will be living in. If you have any questions about move-in, please contact the Office of Housing and Residence Life at [email protected] or at (231) 591-3745.
We also strongly encourage students moving into campus to sign-up for free COVID testing upon your arrival.
The University will be closed from 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020, through 8 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4, 2021.
