Online Graduate Degree Programs Listed Among Nation’s Best by U.S. News and World Report

U.S. News and World Report highlighted four Ferris State University programs in its recently released 2023 rankings for the best online programs. Ferris academic programs ranked in Master’s in Computer Information Technology, Best Online Master’s in Nursing, Master of Business Administration and Master’s in Criminal Justice.

Professionals seeking Master of Science degrees online have excellent offerings at Ferris State University, as evidenced by U.S. News and World Report’s 2023 survey of over 1,800 programs offered by regionally accredited institutions.

Ferris’ Information Security and Intelligence degree tied for 41st among all graduate Computer Information Technology programs considered. The ABET Computing Accreditation Committee accredits that instruction. In addition, the National Security Agency designates the university as a Center of Excellence in Cyber Defense Education. Ferris has a National Center for Digital Forensic Academic Excellence designation from the Department of Defense Cyber Command Center and the Air Force Office of Special Investigations.

The Best Online Master’s in Nursing program ranking pointed to Ferris’ coursework being recorded and archived to accommodate the needs of working professionals who could access materials at their convenience. Ferris tied for 102nd among nearly 200 institutions considered in the report.

The online Master of Business Administration curriculum tied for 115th among over 350 MBA programs considered.

Ferris’ online Master of Science in Criminal Justice Administration received recognition. Attributes acknowledged for this 30-credit curriculum include faculty who can speak from their experience as researchers and practitioners in the field.

The assessment of 1,833 online bachelor’s and master’s degree programs, where 1,730 were included in the 2023 report, represents the largest in U.S. News and World Reports’ ranking history.
