Reported Shooting Death in Morley-Stanwood Area

UPDATE (Oct. 21, 2018 at 12:36 p.m.): The suspect is now in custody. The all-clear announcement has been made.

The Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a shooting that occurred on Oct. 20, 2018 at approximately 11 p.m. outside of a bar/restaurant in the village of Morley. The investigation has revealed that a 47-year-old Stanwood man was shot multiple times resulting in his death. The investigation has also developed a suspect/shooter who remains at large at this time. The MCSO and MSP tactical units are currently searching for the suspect, Randall Robert Jensen 48, of Stanwood. Jensen is considered armed and dangerous. The MCSO is advising the public to avoid contact with Jensen and call 911 immediately if he is spotted.

The Ferris State University Department of Public Safety advises that there is no immediate threat to the Big Rapids campus.
