Title IX Office to Host `No Zebras, No Excuses' as Part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month

Ferris State UniversityFerris State University’s Title IX Office will host guest speaker Steve Thompson on Thursday, April 12 as part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

“No Zebras, No Excuses” will take place in the University Center Ballroom from 11 a.m. to noon. Thompson’s presentation will address the realities of sexual aggression and explain ways to create a safer environment.

“Steve Thompson is a national expert on the topic of sexual aggression,” Kevin Carmody, Title IX coordinator and associate dean of Student Life, said of Thompson, author of the book “No More Fear.” “We are thrilled that he is going to be here to educate us on how we can make our campus safer in relation to sexual assault and gender-based violence.”

A content warning is advised, but the event is free and all are welcome to attend.
