March is upon us and this is the last week prior to spring break as faculty, staff and students near the semester’s midway point.

This week features several noteworthy events including the continuation of the DIVE In movie series, a performance by musician Preston Leatherman, and Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men’s basketball playoff action as the Bulldogs host the Ashland Eagles in Jim Wink Arena on Wednesday, March 4.

Here are some of this week’s highlighted activities:

Monday, March 2

6 to 8 p.m., FLITE (Office of Multicultural Student Services), Room 159 – DIVE IN – Movie and Discussion series: Circle of Tribal Nations “Smoke Signals”


Tuesday, March 3

11 a.m., Science Building, Room 102 – Academic Support Center Speaker Series: Tricks of the Trade: Leveraging College Life with Technology

6 p.m., University Center, Room 202 – Student Government Leadership Dinner

Student Government will be hosting the Leadership Dinner in the University Center, Room 202. Two members from each RSOs executive board are invited to join us.

7 p.m., University Center Stage Lounge – Musician Preston Leatherman


Wednesday, March 4

7 p.m., Jim Wink Arena – GLIAC Men’s Basketball Tournament Quarterfinals: Ferris State vs. Ashland
