Faculty Encouraged to Participate in 24th Annual Equity Within the Classroom Conference

The 24th annual Equity within the Classroom Conference begins March 30 and runs through April 1 at University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

The conference provides an annual forum for faculty, administration, staff and postsecondary education supporters to review topics such as, annual retention, best practice strategies, current research findings, and outcome data.

The Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning plans to provide travel support and reimburse the conference fee for the first 10 faculty that register from Ferris.

The Equity within the Classroom Conference is a collaborative effort between the state of Michigan’s public and independent colleges/universities and the King-Chavez- Parks Initiative. Specific KCP-developed retention strategies will also be part of the conference to help positively impact equality of opportunity and degree achievement for KCP-targeted students.
