Students Can Assist with Homecoming 2014 Planning, Gain Valuable Experiences

Homecoming 2014Ferris State University’s homecoming committee is searching for student leaders who would like an opportunity to assist in the planning of Homecoming 2014.

Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28 via OrgSync. Students who apply will be contacted to schedule an interview once their application is received.

Interviews will be held March 3-5 and will last approximately 30 minutes. One application is sufficient for all of the positions and applicants must have at least a 2.5 cumulative grade point average to qualify.

Students who are interested in community outreach, event planning, marketing, networking or public relations will have opportunities to explore those interests, learn about leadership and perhaps make new friends.

The Student Homecoming Committee is structured to give students the opportunity to plan, market and implement a series of annual events for the university community.

In addition to having fun, Student Homecoming Committee members can gain valuable experience in management, communications, budgeting, marketing and teamwork.
