Ferris State University and MCRN (Michigan Corporate Relations Network)
The Michigan Corporate Relations Network (MCRN) is a statewide university network designed to create partnerships that will connect Michigan's corporations to critical university assets to help promote innovative research and grow Michigan's economy. Ferris State University affiliates with the MCRN and supports both the Small Company Internship Award Program (SCIA) and the Small Company Innovation Program (SCIP).
SCIA (Small Company Internship Award Program)
Ferris State University has long recognized the benefits of the internship experience for both students and employers. Ferris State University's, College of Engineering Technology is one of the largest in the country. Close to 400 highly motivated students from the college's 32 degree programs gain valuable work experience each year through internships. The Small Company Internship Award Program (SCIA) provides funding that helps small businesses (under 200 employees) hire university students to work as interns on projects that are both beneficial for your company and academically relevant for our students. SCIP (Small Company Innovation Program)
The MCRN's Small Company Innovation Program (SCIP) provides matching funds up to $40,000 to Michigan small businesses to help cover the cost of conducting research and development projects at any Michigan public university.
