The College of Pharmacy has been recognized as an accredited institution by the Michigan Board of Pharmacy since 1893 and is the principal source of pharmacy practitioners for the state of Michigan.
The College of Pharmacy admits approximately 140 highly qualified candidates to the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program. The Pharm.D. program is a four-year program that is made up of three classroom/simulation lab years. The first two years of the program are conducted at the Big Rapids campus site. The third year of the program is conducted at our new Grand Rapids facility. The fourth year of the program is comprised of field experiences in multiple pharmacy practice settings throughout the state of Michigan, with opportunities to concentrate the student experience in one of the following geographic areas -- Grand Rapids, Lansing, Kalamazoo, Flint/Saginaw, Traverse City and Marquette.
