Lauren OberleyOcular Disease and Primary Care Resident

Dr. Lauren Oberley is currently completing the Ocular Disease and Primary Care residency at the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System (NIHCS) in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In 2013, she graduated with honors from the University of Saint Francis (Fort Wayne, IN) with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology. In May 2018, following completion of interships at the Naval Health Clinic (Quantico, VA), Indianapolis Eye Care Center, Lawndale Health Christian (Chicago, IL), and NIHCS, Dr. Oberley graduated from Indiana University School of Optometry.

While attending Indiana University School of Optometry, Dr. Oberley served as the president of the Contact Lens Club, worked as an Associate Instructor for Anterior and Posterior Segment Clinical Techniques courses, and was involved in several professional organizations including AOA, IUOSA, and Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society. During her time at IUSO, Dr. Oberley enjoyed opportunities to volunteer, including vision screenings at the Special Olympics and sports vision screenings for a variety of incoming athletes at Indiana University.

Dr. Oberley is excited to advance her clinical skills and become a well-rounded clinician through her time at NIHCS. During her residency she intends to complete a poster presentation at the annual AAO meeting and pursue fellowship in AAO. After completion of residency she plans to work at a private practice in the Midwest.
