Be Safe and Be Seen on Halloween

The Faculty, Staff and Students of the Pediatrics and Binocular Vision Service appreciate having your children as patients. Our first mission is always to provide the highest quality eye care to help your children succeed in school and to enjoy the wonderful visual world that they live and play in.

We also want to remind you that Halloween is a fun and exciting time for children and when they are out after dusk they don't always think about extra traffic and other risks.

So, be sure that they are seen by having them wear some reflective articles as part of their costume and/or carry a flashlight and reflective treat bags.

Also be sure that their costumes (specifically, masks and hoods with small or poorly fitted eye holes) do not impair their ability to see their environment.
