Research
Dr. Eklin's research activities involve organizational leadership and change issues within the correctional system. He also served on the Michigan Correctional Officers' Training Council (MCOTC) for many years. This Council is responsible for establishing training and certification standards for all corrections officers and sergeants working in Michigan state prisons. The Honorable Jennifer Granholm, Governor of Michigan, appointed Dr. Eklin to the Council in 2008 and he served as Chair until March 2016.
