Experience: Served for twenty-six and a half years with the Sterling Heights, MI Police Department, the fourth largest city in Michigan, with progressive management and administrative experience leading to the rank of Lieutenant. Served in the following assignments: Commander of the Training Division & Field Training Officer program, Patrol Shift Commander, Detective Sergeant - Criminal Investigations Division and Youth Bureau, Sergeant - Road Patrol, Supervisor - Records & Computer Services Division, Supervisor - Communications Bureau, Detective - Special Investigations Division (Office of the Chief), and Patrol Officer.

Research:
Law Enforcement Issues, Police Management & Administration, Criminal Investigations, Police Patrol Operations, Organizational Behavior in Criminal Justice, Police Leadership Development, Police Response to Domestic Violence, Problem-Based Learning (PBL) in Police Training Environments, and Police Training Officer (PTO) Programs.
