Joshua holds Bachelor’s and Master's degrees from Eastern Michigan University. He comes to Ferris from Washtenaw Community College, where he was the Director of Media Services and an Adjunct Video Production Faculty, and from Detroit Public Television, where he worked as an editor and camera operator on MAB-nominated and Emmy-nominated television programs. His documentary films “The Poor Farm” and “The Factory,” produced with assistance from Ferris TDMP students, have been telecast hundreds of times on public and non-commercial television stations nationwide. Joshua’s work in video production has been recognized with multiple Telly Awards, has been shown at several film festivals, and distributed internationally. His written work on the subject of the film has been featured in the Journal of Popular Film and Television. Joshua enjoys teaching: showing students new ideas and helping them to think about how they can use that knowledge to pursue their own goals.
