According to the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) document Standards and Guidelines for the Accreditation of Educational Programs in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Ferris State University’s Diagnostic Medical Sonography program must immediately cease accepting an ACT score in lieu of a MATH course or MATH credit.
Standard III.C1. Curriculum Requisites states that requisites must include a college level course in algebra, statistics, or higher mathematics and requisites must be met prior to the beginning of the core curriculum of the diagnostic medical sonography education program.
